Govt’s greenlight sought for UoP’s Rs250m loan
Finance Department says once approved by the provincial government, the loan will be released to the UoP
PESHAWAR:
The Finance Department has submitted a summary to the provincial government seeking approval for granting a loan of Rs250 million to University of Peshawar (UoP).
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Finance Department has said that once approved by the provincial government, the loan will be released to the UoP.
Separately, the University of Agricultural Peshawar, Gomal University, University of Science and Technology Bannu are also said to be facing a financial crisis.
Last month, University of Agriculture employees had staged protests seeking financial help from the provincial finance department after which a fund of Rs190.2 million was released.
The provincial finance minister last month had approved a loan of Rs250 million.
