BHAN SYEDABAD:
A fourth-grade student was killed when she was attacked by stray dogs in Ahmed Khan Lashari village near Bhan Syedabad on Thursday.

The girl was returning home after school when stray dogs attacked her. Villagers rushed to the spot when they heard the girl's cry and saved her from the dogs. However, she succumbed to her severe injuries.

"The number of stray dogs in the area has risen alarmingly," said one of the villagers. "The government should take measures to deal with them to save lives." The villagers said that they had filed several complaints with the relevant authorities in this regard but they had not taken any action.

Jamshoro DC Fariduddin Siddiqui informed Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah that the girl was not taken to any health facility, adding a drive against stray dogs was already in progress.
