Task force for curbing illegal business

The chief secretary stressed upon a strong nexus in law enforcement agencies in order to stem-out smuggling culture

Following the directions of the federal government, Chief Secretary Balochistan Capt (retd) Fazeel Asghar has announced to establish an anti-smuggling task force in the province to prevent smuggling of goods and diesel.

Directing strict action against smugglers and people involved in unlawful money transfer business, Asghar vowed to eliminate all illegal practices in Balochistan.

“People harming the national exchequer will be brought to justice hence an anti-smuggling task force is being established [in this regard],” the chief secretary said while chairing a meeting here in Quetta.


Additional Chief Secretary Home, Custom officers and intelligence officials were present during the meeting.

The chief secretary stressed upon a strong nexus in law enforcement agencies in order to stem-out smuggling culture from Balochistan.

“I will personally monitor the performance and progress of the task force while meetings will also be called on monthly basis,” Asghar added.
