Parking Spaces: Reply sought from local govt secy
The stay was granted on a petition filed by Advocate Tanveer Hussain Bukhari.
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Friday issued a stay order, stopping the government from holding a bid to lease parking spaces outside 400 private plazas in the city. The LHC has sought a reply in this regard from the local government secretary. The stay was granted on a petition filed by Advocate Tanveer Hussain Bukhari, who had contended that the plazas were private property and the government did not have the right to sell them. He said doing so would undermine the Constitution of Pakistan.
