ICT to hold spring festival from February 28
Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat says Islamabad Spring Festival 2020 to attract youth towards healthy activities

Having already organised public events to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day earlier this month, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has decided to host a family festival to celebrate the onset of spring in the city.
In an event briefing at the Pakistan Monument on Sunday, ICT Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat unveiled the three day Islamabad Spring Festival (ISF) 2020.
Aiming to make it the biggest family festival in the history of the federal capital, Shafqaat explained that the purpose of the festival is to attract the residents of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, particularly the youth, towards healthy activities.
The festival will include several interesting activities such as music shows, food stalls and different types of games, including a marathon and a cycle race.
Shafqaat said that residents of the twin cities have played their part in different programmes launched by the district government in the past including the Clean and Green campaign and other sporting activities.
Dr Tabassum hoped that the event will break pas records. He added that they have invited renowned singers and artists from across the country to showcase their skills in the event. while the participants will be entertained through humorous poetry that will be presented by popular poets from all over the country.
