Seed Association Of Pakistan: Registration to be made mandatory

The government is all set to make seed companies registration with Seed Association of Pakistan (SAP) mandatory so that it is able to monitor and audit the seed business. To issue a formal notification to this regard, the DG FSC&RD Syed Mohammad Nasir Ali had a meeting with the Executive Committee of SAP. The meeting was jointly chaired by SAP Vice Chairman Dr Qaiser Rashid and Ali. Ali agreed to pursue the issue with the government. A delegation of Vegetable Seed Importers led by Dr Abdul Nasir Kasi also had a meeting with Ali and it was mutually agreed that a committee would be formed to discuss and review the issue regarding modality adaptability trial for import of vegetable seed.
