CDA to build access roads for Jinnah Avenue underpass
These loops will give commuters swift access to sectors F-8 and G-8 from Jinnah Avenue
ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will construct access roads and additional loops adjacent to the underpass which connects sectors F-8 and G-8 on Jinnah Avenue.
These loops will give commuters swift access to sectors F-8 and G-8 from Jinnah Avenue, a CDA statement said on Friday.
The authority said it will develop these roads from its resources. The Machine Pool Organisation (MPO) Directorate has been mobilised and work has been initiated on these roads.
The decision was aimed at reducing the traffic congestion in these sectors and on Jinnah Avenue as well. Moreover, the underpass is not being properly utilised due to the lack of access from Jinnah Avenue.
As a result, commuters have to use Sector G-9 junction on the avenue to enter these two sectors, which cause traffic congestion in the area.
