Google will be launching three new offices to expand into Canada’s growing artificial intelligence and machine learning research.

At present, the company has around 1,500 workers, from engineers, game developers, sales leaders, and AI researchers employed across Toronto, Montreal, and Waterloo.

Canada is making a fast-paced shift towards technology with more local and international investment, by 2022 the new Google Canada offices are to accommodate nearly 5,000 employees with renders which have been shared of the modern architecture.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Waterloo building alone would be housing nearly 3000 employees working in the Cloud and health care department, Toronto’s building can house 1,000 Google employees working in the field of artificial intelligence and lastly the Montreal facility can accommodate 800 people in the gaming department.

Earlier the company announced its first Stadia Games and Entertainment studio in Montreal.

Commenting on the city’s rich gaming culture Google said: “launched dozens of studios, thousands of careers, and countless incredible games.”
In the artificial intelligence front the Google Brain Toronto, the company’s ML lab is funding for the Vector Institute.
