They don't call it 'beauty sleep' for nothing. We want to try and give our bodies proper rest at night so that our skin can heal and rejuvenate as the hours go by. A good night's sleep is undoubtedly essential. But did you know that it could also be damaging for your skin?

Sleeping in some manners can cause wrinkles which can later turn into fine lines and wrinkles, making the skin age quicker. Some people sleep with their faces buried in a pillow or pressed against it and this can cause our skin to crease and folds. Try to avoid turning in your sleep and sleeping on your stomach or the sides too.

Switch to silk or a satin pillow cover that can prevent creasing and folding of the skin. These fabrics are soft and allow your skin to glide. Keep your hands away from your face

Many of us sleep with our hands pressed against our face but this can also build pressure on the skin and cause wrinkles. Try to keep your hands away from your face while you sleep. This will also assist in keeping any dirt away from the face (which could result in breakouts or pore-clogging), keeping it clean.
