Rs420 million released for uplift projects

DC Khattak asks officials to ensure transparency in the use of development funds

Deputy Commissioner Aamer Khattak said on Thursday that Rs420 million has been released for various uplift projects in Multan. He said that work on the Nishtar Hospital-II project had also been started and mobilisation of machinery at the site was in progress.

DC Khattak expressed these views during a meeting on development projects in Multan. He said that paperwork had started for various projects of the Water and Sanitation Agency, education and health departments.


The DC directed the officials concerned to complete the projects within the given time period. He asked the officials to ensure transparency in the use of development funds and expressed annoyance over the slow pace of work on projects.

Parliamentarians said that hurdles from the Multan Electric Power Company in replacement of transformers and in uplift projects would not be tolerated. MNA Ahmad Hussain Dehar, MPAs Barrister Waseem Khan Badozai, Malik Saleem Labar, Sabeen Gul, Tariq Abdullah, CPO ZubairDareshak and officials from various departments were also present.
