The complainant of the case has nominated the two police officials, while four employees, including an arrested father and son, will be produced in court on Thursday for remand.

The arrested sub-inspector and police constable have surrendered their share of the ransom. A constable, Qasim, was acquitted.

The officials kept moving the victim on the roads in different areas of the city for eight hours after the abduction and threatened to kill him in an encounter, forcing him to pay Rs600,000 after demanding Rs1.5 million for his release.

The policemen arrested in the case, Zeeshan Khalid, Khalid Naeem Randhawa and Zulqarnain, will be presented in the court of Civil Judge Pervez Khan for further remand. Police officials said that several political figures and policemen had been approached for reconciliation in the case.
