1,934 students receive laptops at GCU

A dignified ceremony was held at Government College University (GCU) Faisalabad under the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme, during which laptops were distributed among 1,934 students to promote digital learning and empower youth through technology.
Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan attended the regional-level ceremony as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, he said the present era was defined by technology and artificial intelligence, adding that equipping the younger generation with modern skills was among the government's top priorities to meet contemporary challenges.
He said educated and skilled youth were the country's most valuable asset and reaffirmed the government's commitment to their welfare and economic empowerment.
GCU Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Dr Rauf-i-Azam, in his address, lauded the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme and the Punjab Chief Minister's Scholarship Scheme, describing them as initiatives based on transparency, merit and educational justice.
