Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos retains his position as the world leader after adding another $7.9 billion to his net worth on Friday, the company’s stock gained 9.6% and ending the day up 7.4% outshining analyst’s expectations for its fourth-quarter results.

This makes him the richest person in the world, with a net worth that Forbes estimates at $123.9 billion.

The company’s revenue went uphill due to its cloud business, Amazon Web Services, just hours after trading the stock went up to 9.6% and Amazon stock opened at $2,051.47 on Friday morning.

This has driven the company’s valuation above $1 trillion joining the four-comma club with Apple and Microsoft.

The Amazon CEO made headlines recently when the billionaire’s phone was hacked in 2018 after receiving a WhatsApp message that had been sent from the personal account of Saudi’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Guardian reported on Tuesday, citing sources.

There is speculation that the Saudi hack is linked to the National Enquirer tabloid’s publishing of Bezos’s intimate texts and photos to his girlfriend in 2019.

This is Bezos’s attempts to distort the Saudi image and The Washington Post which he owns is leading this unfair campaign against Saudi Arabia and their crown prince.
He also was a target of public trolling after his company’s measly $690,000 donation to the Australian wildfire recovery effort given that he is the world’s richest person.

The billionaire is one of the three members of the 12-digit club followed by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault, who currently is on number 3 on the list.
