LWMC makes interim cleanliness arrangements

Only three companies were present at the time of opening of tender

LAHORE:
The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has made interim arrangements for six zones for five months, after expiry of an international contract for which a tender was floated according to the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules.

A spokesperson for the LWMC said only three companies were present at the time of opening of tender.


And as per results of the financial bid opening Albayrak made the lowest bid of Rs2,343 per tonne against 157,813 tonnes of waste for zone 1(Aziz Bhatti and Wahga Town), subsequently, for zone 2 (Nishtar Town) Ozpak made the lowest bid of Rs3,550 per tonne against 111,796 tonnes of solid waste, Popular Goods made the lowest bid of Rs2,689 per tonne against 120,185 tonnes of solid waste for zone 3 (Allama Iqbal Town), Ozpak made the lowest bid of Rs 3,550 per tonne for zone 4 (DGBT and Samnabad Town) against 238,950 tonnes of solid waste, Albayrak scored the lowest bid of Rs2,378 per tonne for zone 5 (Gulberg and Shalimar Town) against 193,411 tonnes of solid waste and subsequently the last zone (Ravi Town) was won by Popular Goods by quoting lowest amount of Rs2,469 per tonne against 114,120 tonnes of solid waste.
