Speeding vehicles leave six injured

Those wounded include a seven-year-old boy

KARACHI:
As many as six people were injured in separate road accidents caused by speeding in Karachi on Saturday morning.

According to rescue workers, 55-year-old Ahmed Bux suffered severe injuries after he was hit by a speeding vehicle in Soldier Bazaar. Bux was shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for treatment.

Separately, a speeding vehicle hit a young boy, identified as seven-year-old Jabbar, son of Ghafoor, in Lyari. The injured was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.


Meanwhile, two persons riding a motorcycle were hit by a speeding vehicle in Sher Shah. As a result, they sustained injuries. The injured, identified as 25-year-old Imam, son of Suhail, and 20-year-old Munir, son of Aziz, were shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital.

In a separate incident, 21-year-old Zeeshan, son of Kareem, sustained injuries after he was hit by a speeding vehicle in Orangi Town. Zeeshan was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

Another person, identified as Tariq Ali, 50, was hit by a speeding vehicle near Chamra Chowrangi. As a result, he sustained injuries and was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
