Summer Vacations: Lawyers force LHC to restore holiday
On Wednesday, the LHC administration barred judicial officers across Punjab from taking their annual summer vacations
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court administration, under pressure from lawyers, has withdrawn a notification cancelling the one-month summer vacations of judges in the Punjab. On Wednesday, the LHC administration through a notification had barred judicial officers across the Punjab from taking their annual summer vacations in August. However, the Lahore Bar Association strongly protested against the decision and announced a boycott of any court proceedings in August. The LHC Registrar Sohail Nasir called LBA President Shahzad Hassan Sheikh on Thursday and informed him that the notification had been cancelled.
