KARACHI:
Sachal Police have registered the case of the alleged kidnapping of a 12-year-old boy, Raheel, who went missing from Bhittaiabad on Monday.

The case was registered on Raheel's father's behalf under Section 363 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which pertains to kidnapping.

In his statement to the police, the boy's father, Muhammad Babar said that Raheel had left home on Monday evening, saying he was going to play video games, but never returned. He said that he searched for his eldest son till 11pm on the day he went missing but couldn't find him. According to Babar, area residents told him that Ibrahim Rind, who runs a video games shop by the name of 'Baloch Video Games,' kidnapped Raheel.

Babar, a resident of Bhittaiabad and a property dealer, has appealed to the Sindh Inspector General of Police, Karachi Additional IG, East District DIG and East District SSP to issue orders for Raheel's immediate recovery and the arrest of those suspected of his abduction. He has also appealed to the chief minister and other relevant authorities to mete out strict punishments to those involved in the abduction of children so that the "perpetrators dare not commit the offence again."

Meanwhile, Sachal Police have begun the search for Raheel and his suspected kidnapper.
