Sindh takes measures to ensure sale of subsidised flour

Sale points to be established all over the province.

KARACHI:

The Sindh government has decided to supply 220,000 tons of wheat to mill owners under the Ramazan package, to provide 10kg flour bags to people at subsidised rates.

The decision was taken at a special meeting on Ramazan package, presided over by Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, at Chief Minister’s House on Thursday.

The provincial government asked administrations of all the districts to establish subsidised flour centres and monitor the distribution of wheat and price movements in their respective areas. Shah stressed the need for controlling hoarding and profiteering in all trade centres and markets of the province.

The Sindh government will take a decision on the price for one kg of flour under the Ramazan package within two days.
