Traders oppose parking fee for capital’s markets
Traders argued that neither IMC, nor CDA had any authority to impose new taxes

Traders in the federal capital have strongly rejected a proposal to implement a charged-parking regime in the markets of the city.
Office bearers from the Markazi Anjuman Tajiran and the Islamabad Traders Action Committee, including the committee’s President Ajmal Baloch, Secretary Khalid Chaudhry and other office-bearers of both bodies including Malik Rab Nawaz, Shahzad Abbasi, Liaquat Butt, Raja Javed, Aftab Gujar issued a joint statement on Sunday where they argued that neither the Islamabad Municipal Corporation (IMC) nor the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will be allowed to impose parking fees in any of the markets of Islamabad and announced to strongly oppose any such measure.
