Laced Drink: Gambler deprived of cash

RAWALPINDI:

A gambler was deprived of cash after being given a laced drink in the New Town area.

The police have registered a case against the three alleged gamblers thieves including the owner of gambling den on the complaint of the victim, Wajid Ishtiaq. He told the police that he often goes to play cards with his friends at Nisar’s gambling den. When he got there on Tuesday, people offered him juice, which had been laced with something. He fell unconscious soon after drinking it, and woke to find that Nasir and two other accomplices had stolen Rs45,000 in cash from his pocket.
