Police have yet to arrest the victim’s employer
ISLAMABAD:
A 20-year-old man was allegedly killed in a suburban area of the federal capital on Monday for refusing to continue employment at a mansion.
Police have yet to arrest the victim’s employer even though he had called the youngster’s mother and asked her to come and pick up the body.
Shalimar police said that Sooba Masih, a resident of Hansa Colony in Sector G-8, had filed a complaint that his nephew, 20-year old Salamat Masih, used to work for Malik Shaukat Shauki in the Mera Beri area of Chuantra.
Salamat wanted to quit his job and take up employment elsewhere. However, Shauki insisted that he keep working for him and even threatened to kill Salamat if he tries to quit, Sooba told the police that this nephew had informed him of the matter a number of times.
On Monday, Shauki called Salamat’s mother, Rehana, and told her that he had allegedly killed her son and to come and collect the body.
Shocked and devastated, Rehana rushed to Shauki’s place to find her son lying dead in the courtyard with a bullet injury to his head. Later, police also recovered the empty shell of a 30 bore pistol from the crime scene.
