Sindh government has extended the police powers for the Rangers for another term of three months
KARACHI:
The Sindh government has extended the police powers for the Rangers for another term of three months to control the law and order situation in Karachi. A notification to this effect was issued by the Sindh government on Wednesday after the term of police powers granted to it earlier on April 20 expired at midnight on Tuesday. The provincial home department is authorised to issue a notification in this regard. Under the police powers, Rangers are allowed to seal exit and entry points and conduct searches in all five districts of Karachi.
