Eyewitnesses said that a man of around 60-years-of-age attempted to cross the railway line on his motorbike even though the train was quite close.

The train driver blew horns and whistles but the victim could not get clear of the tracks in time and eventually got crushed. Rescue 1122 shifted the body to the morgue. A spokesperson for the rescue service said that the 60-year-old victim had not been identified so far. Civil Lines police said they did not find any identification documents such as CNIC, driving licence or service card from the body and were looking for the family of the deceased.
