Model check post to be completed in 15 days

Officials at the post will record videos of those leaving and entering the city

LAHORE: The establishment of model check post constructed at Babu Sabu, an important entry point of the city, in the provincial capital, would be completed in 15 days.

The concrete work on it has been almost completed. The post would be people as well as police-friendly and IT-oriented.

The officials at the post would also record videos of those leaving and entering the city, even in public transport. The record of their faces, as well as images of CNICs, would be maintained.

This practice was earlier only adopted by National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP).

Other specifications of the establishment included CCTV surveillance, facilities like proper cabins for officials, etc.
