PHC annuls K-PPSC’s recruitment of entomologists
PHC directs K-PPSC to accommodate all plant protection degree holders in the interviews
PESHAWAR:
The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has annulled a decision of the provincial public service commission on the recruitment criteria set for hiring entomologists in the government.
The K-P Public Service Commission (KPPSC) had barred all those people holding degrees in plant protection from appearing in the interview for the post of entomology research officer. The interviews for the post are expected to commence on Monday (today) and will continue until January 16.
The petitioner argued that despite passing the written test, the K-PPSC had barred successful candidates holding a degree in plant protection from appearing in the interviews due to the change in title of the degree.
The PHC directed the K-PPSC to accommodate all plant protection degree holders in the interviews.
