It may pour in Karachi tonight

The cold snap may continue till January 18, with temperatures dropping further

KARACHI:
As Siberian winds grew stronger in the port city, Karachi felt the effects of a Western system of weather that entered Balochistan through Iran on Saturday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the north-western winds blew at maximum speeds of 50 kilometres per hour. The lowest temperature was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius and highest at 23 degrees Celsius on Saturday.Fog reduced visibility to 4 kilometres in the morning.


The Met Office has predicted that the metropolis may receive light rain tonight (Sunday), along with thunder and lightning. According to the forecast, a new cold wave may hit the city after the rain.
