Emergency units on highways praised

MERC will be helpful in providing timely medical treatment

QUETTA: Balochistan Public Accounts Committee Chairman Akhtar Hussain Langove lauded the initiative of Medical Emergency Response Centres (MERC) established on provincial highways in order to facilitate people in case of accidents providing timely medical treatment.

He expressed this during his visit to the head office of MERC where he was accompanied by Communication and Works (C&W) department Secretary Noorul Amin Mengal. A delegation of Balochistan bloggers and vloggers were also present during Langove’s visit.

MERC CEO Aziz Ahmed Jamali briefed PAC chairman and C&W secretary about the response centres and their responsibilities of imparting medical care in case of accidents on provincial highways.

Lauding efforts of MERC, Langove said, “The initiative of MERC will be helpful in providing timely medical treatment to hundreds of people in Balochistan.”
