Of the two cases, one has been reported from Mirpurkhas District and the other from Qambar-Shahdadkot District.
A 48-month-old girl from Sindhri, in Union Council Goro Sharif, Mirpurkhas District, tested positive for the disease after the virus affected her right upper limb and both lower limbs. According to the minor girl's parents, she was administered a polio vaccine during the recently concluded campaign, however, she had not been vaccinated under the routine immunisation programme.
Another 24-month-old girl from Warah in Qamabar-Shahdadkot District was afflicted with the crippling disease, which affected her right lower limb. Her parents claimed that she had been administered polio vaccine seven times on different occasions.
