RAWALPINDI:
The Rawalpindi district administration is offering online shopping of fruit, vegetables and other groceries on official rates to provide relief to people from inflation and profiteers.

Qeemat Punjab app is now offering free home delivery, Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Saifullah Dogar said on Friday.

The application was available for both android and I-phone users. Besides checking the prices of commodities, people could also buy groceries with payment on delivery option, Dogar said.

DC said the district administration has engaged a private firm to deliver goods at homes after digital purchase. The district officer added that the service was initially launched in Satellite Town and Westridge areas as the two areas are close to wholesale vegetable market.

The administration plans to extend the facility to remote areas of Rawalpindi, Murree, Kotli Satyan, Kahuta, Taxila, Kalar sayadan and Gujar Khan.
