CM for quick provision of doctors, equipment to NMTD hospitals

Directs utilisation of allocated funds for the project within stipulated time

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Friday has directed the accelerated provision of doctors and modern equipment to healthcare institutions in the newly-merged tribal districts along with upgrading existing hospitals.

He further directed that the budget allocated for the tribal districts should be utilised within the stipulated timeline.

“Immediate completion of all the schemes reflected in accelerated implementation plan should be the topmost priority so that early relief could be given to the tribal people,” he directed during a progress-review meeting regarding the accelerated implementation plan (AIP) for tribal districts at the CM House in Peshawar on Friday.


The meeting was briefed in detail regarding the current and developmental budget for NMTDs, including progress made so far under AIP.

The meeting was informed that the progress of all the projects in NMTDs has been regularly reviewed over the past few weeks. To ensure timely utilization of funds, the policy has also been finalized for AIP.

The meeting was told that the PC-1s for different schemes have also been reviewed and submitted to the respective departments while high impacts schemes have been identified, action plans have been set up for timely completion of schemes.
