PM Imran makes surprise visit of PIMS, Polyclinic

Polyclinic Executive Director Dr Naila Israr briefed PM about performance of the new administration of the hospital

ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Imran Khan paid surprise visits to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Federal Government Polyclinic Hospital on Tuesday night.

Accompanied by Special Assistant to PM on Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza, Premier Imran made rounds of the casualty. Children and maternity wards and inquired after the well-being of patients.

The prime minister also went to different sections of the two major hospitals of the federal capital and enquired about the provision of health and treatment facilities, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release issued late on Tuesday night.


On the occasion, he also discussed with the hospitals' administrations the existing health facilities and directed them to provide quality health and treatment facilities to the patients.

Polyclinic Executive Director Dr Naila Israr briefed the PM about the performance of the new administration of the hospital and the improvements it had brought about in services to the patients.

The prime minister reportedly expressed concern over the lack of space in the hospital for patients.
