Punjab government has formulated a plan for rehabilitation and strengthening of the cottage industry. Under the plan, the government would provide loans amounting to Rs300,000 on soft terms to the industrialists for rehabilitation of the cottage industry and priority would be given to women entrepreneurs across the province, official sources told APP on Monday.
The government was taking steps to promote the cottage industry as it provides livelihood to thousands of families. The government was keen to promote women entrepreneurship, enabling them to play their instrumental role in boosting up the export volume, they added.
