Mother, son die in fire incident

LAHORE: A mother and her son died when a fire broke out in a house in Lorry Ada on Saturday night.

Police said the incident was reported on the third floor of a building near rim repairing market. The victims were trapped inside the house. When the rescue teams reached the spot on information and launched a rescue operation, they spotted the victims in a critical and unconscious condition. They were shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.

The deceased victims were identified as Rukhsana wife of Moeenuddin, 35, and her son Bilal, 5.

In another incident of fire in a house near Allied School Bilal Dhobhi Ghath on Saturday night, five members of a family suffered burn injuries. The victims were identified as Zikriya, 28, Maham 4, Mehwish, 25, Rubena 25, Rukhsana 50 and Sidra, 38.
