Twitter is speculating Iqra Aziz's wedding dress is "a copy-cat" of Priyanka Chopra's

However, many quickly pointed out that the Bollywood star did not start the 'red-on-red' bridal look

Ever since Yasir Hussain went down on one knee to propose to Iqra Aziz at the Lux Style Awards in July this year, they’ve become one of the closely monitored couples in the industry.

After an intimate mayoun and mehendi ceremony, the two finally said qubool hai (I do!) in a day-time nikkah event yesterday, and fans could barely contain their excitement.

The Suno Chanda actor donned a bespoke, all-red Nomi Ansari gown for her big day. However, Twitter was quick to point out the lehnga-choli seemed not-so-faintly reminiscent of the unforgettable Sabyasachi number that Priyanka Chopra wore on her wedding to Nick Jonas.

"Coincidence or copy," one user wrote speculating Aziz's gown is similar to the Sky is Pink star on her wedding day.

"When the copy is better than the original," one user wrote about Aziz's dress in comparison to the Bollywood actors. Another wrote of the comments comparing the two, "People are jealous I swear."

Many also came to the actor's 'copy-cat' defense, saying the the red-on-red combination was not started by Chopra. "Red on red is a classic combo, you may not like but don’t say Priyanka did first. It’s been there for years," one Twitter user wrote.

"So many people are saying that Iqra Aziz copied or inspired by Priyanka Chopra but we don't think so," another pointed out.

Many fans also poured in praises for the star couple, wishing them love and blessings on their highly-anticipated wedding event.
