Donald Trump cameo removed from 'Home Alone 2'

The President has joked about the film never being the same again

Donald Trump has responded to his cameo being cut out by Canada's national broadcaster in Home Alone 2 . “The movie will never be the same! (just kidding),” President Trump tweeted immediately after public outcry from his supporters.

He also took a shot at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. "I guess Justin Trudeau doesn’t much like my making him pay up on NATO or Trade!" Trump tweeted.

According to an article published on People Magazine, the film was aired without his cameo earlier this month by Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) . However it was more recently pointed out by right wing publications. His son Donald Jr. had also proceeded to call out for being biased, deeming the move as "Absolutely pathetic".

“Imagine being so pathetic in your quest to attain some bull s*** level of wokeness that you need to cut out a scene that is probably one of the the most famous cameos of the era? Imagine being so ‘triggered’ that you can’t even leave a Christmas movie alone without editing,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile CBC in a statement to People Magazine has maintained that the cut was made in 2014, two years before Trump's election win. According to CBC the decision to omit the cameo did not stemmed out of political difference. Instead it was done to save time and make it compatible for TV. Furthermore CBC has claimed that this wasn't the only scene that was cutout from the film.

At the time the film came out, Trump was a prominent media personality. In the film Trump shows up when Macaulay Culkin’s character, Kevin finds himself lost in New York's Plaza Hotel. Trump is seen telling him the way to the hotel lobby.
