LAHORE: The 144th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was celebrated across Punjab, on Wednesday, with traditional zeal and renewed commitment to make Pakistan a progressive and prosperous country as per the vision of the father of the nation.

Various functions, photo exhibitions and debating competitions were held across the province to highlight Jinnah’s ideology, particularly with regard to rule of law, supremacy of the Constitution and upholding of democracy. The national flag was hoisted on principle government buildings.

Punjab Governor Chuadhry Mohammad Sarwar highlighted that meticulous and charismatic personality, like Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, was born in thousands of years. Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, was committed to make new Pakistan as Jinnah’s Pakistan.
