Snooker: Ranking tournament to begin tomorrow

Sargodha’s Asjad Iqbal would have to surpass the likes of Pakistan number one Shahid Aftab and former champion Mohammad Yousuf to successfully defend his title at the NBP Ranking Snooker Championship. The event, that carries a prize money of Rs150,000, begins tomorrow at the Karachi Club. Iqbal is placed in Group H along with Imran Shahzad, Sohail Shehzad, Naveen Perwani and Khurram Agha apart from Shahid and Yousuf. Pakistan number two Mohammad Sajjad, who is currently taking part at the Korat International Championship in Thailand, is not certain.
