While the entire world had Donald Trump's impeachment on it's mind earlier this week, the President appeared to be more concerned with the looks of U.S Airforce pilots. During the vote on impeachment, President Trump was addressing a crowd at a rally in Michigan, where he described F-35 pilots as more handsome than Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, as reported by The Independent.
“We have the F35s – it’s stealth - and I was at one of the areas where they’re displaying it and I went up to the pilots and, honestly, they’re better looking than Tom Cruise” as the landmark decision in American history took place.
Trump went on to call Top Gun a 'good movie' and Tom Cruise a 'good guy' after which he began discussing F-35 pilots once again. “The face is equal, maybe slightly better, the body’s bigger and stronger, they can definitely fight - they’re the real deal” Trump said as he compared them with the Hollywood actor.
“These guys are so good looking I said you could be a movie star go to Hollywood. (They said) ‘No sir I like what I’m doing’" he added.
Donald Trump on Wednesday became the third US president to be impeached as the House of Representatives formally charged him with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress in a historic step that will inflame partisan tensions across a deeply divided America.
Meanwhile Trump, who is seeking another four-year term in the November 2020 presidential election, has denied wrongdoing and called the impeachment inquiry, launched by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in September, a “witch hunt.”
