K-P to celebrate Buddha festival
The World Bank delegation assured to develop these sites by making the necessary financial contributions

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Senior Tourism Minister Atif Khan on Wednesday announced that the provincial government will celebrate the annual Buddha festival in Takht-i-Bahi.
He disclosed this while speaking to a delegation of the World Bank. Atif said that the celebration of the event will help promote religious tourism in the province and send a message of peace to the world, besides improving the image of the country.
He said that Pakistan occupies significant importance vis-a-vis religious heritage sites as it is home to various sacred religious places. The opening of Kartarpur corridor has sent a positive message to the world community that Pakistan is safe for religious tourism, cultural activates where minorities are enjoying rights and free to perform religious obligations.
