1,219 kanals of land retrieved

ACE authorities have also recovered Rs1.8 million from defaulters of different govt departments

SARGODHA: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) retrieved 1,229 kanals of state land, recovered Rs5million and arrested 13 proclaimed offenders during the last three months, said ACE Regional Director Babar Rehman Warriach on Wednesday.

According to the road map of Punjab ACE Director Gohar Nafees and Punjab government, ACE, during an ongoing crackdown against fee defaulters, land mafia and criminals, have arrested 13 POs and recovered Rs3.2 million from them.

The regional director said that ACE authorities have retrieved commercial and agricultural state land worth Rs1.86 billion from illegal occupation by land mafia from Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar and Khushab districts. He added that ACE authorities have also recovered Rs1.8 million from defaulters of different government departments.

“The recovered amount was deposited in government treasury and ACE received 807 complaints over the last three months.
