#Jamiaprotest: Anurag Kashyap trolls Akshay Kumar for being spineless
'Gangs of Wasseypur' director's major thug life moment is not to be missed
The ongoing protests in India have brought the best and worst out of their celebrities and Twitter exchanges. The most recent being Akshay Kunar who was called out by Anurag Kashyap for being absolutely spineless.
Anurag Kashyap retweeted a post that described Kumar as spineless. "I have immense respect for Akshay Kumar. It must be extremely difficult to be trained in Martial Arts with a spine missing.” a Twitter user commented. Kashyap went to reply “Absolutely” on this.
Kumar came under scrutiny on social media yesterday after he issued an apology for liking a video that mocked the attack on Jamia students, on Twitter.
“Regarding the ‘like’ on the tweet of Jamia Milia students, it was by mistake. I was scrolling and accidentally it must have been pressed and when I realised I immediately unliked it as in no way do I support such acts” Kumar tweeted.
Anurag Kashyap has been vocal in his support for the protestors."This has gone too far.. can’t stay silent any longer . This government is clearly fascist .. and it makes me angry to see voices that can actually make a difference stay quiet" he tweeted.
Since the ammended Citizenship bill was passed several Bollywood personalities have criticized the government's actions.
It is being reported that around 100 students were injured by Delhi Police during the protests. The Indian government has claimed that the new bill would allow minorities across Muslim nations to escape persecution. However, the bill is being criticised for having a separate provision for Muslims for damaging the foundations of secular India.
