Project funds to be taken up with K-P CM

Akbar directs to complete all DFC schemes by next June

PESHAWAR:
With development projects in Peshawar progressing at a snail’s pace, several lawmakers, and even cabinet members, on Monday pointed out the lack of funds to complete schemes. In this regard, the provincial minister for communication and works assured that the issue will be raised with the chief minister.

This was discussed during a high-level review meeting to review the development of ongoing and new schemes in Peshawar. The meeting was presided by Communication and Works Minister Akbar Ayub Khan. He also briefed participant about work on existing schemes.

The minister directed that all lawmakers look after developmental schemes in their area and to ensure the quality of work and timely completion of projects.


He further assured lawmakers that the issue of releasing funds and approval for projects will be taken up with the chief minister.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information Technology (IT) Kamran Bangash highlighted the poor state of schools, roads and other issues of his constituency. The minister directed completely all schemes on time. Akbar Ayub Khan issued orders that all the DFC schemes may be completed before June of the coming year.
