Development projects worth Rs760m underway

LAHORE: Development projects worth more than Rs760 million are in progress in the provincial capital. The district administration has been focusing on development projects even more and the pace of development projects is being accelerated, following the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.

Speaking to the media, Lahore Deputy Commissioner Afzal Danish briefed that under the Sustainable Development project, funds are designated for 97 schemes which will be used on various projects.

He added that NA-126 has a total of 24 schemes for which Rs150 million have been allocated, out of which Rs100 million will be spent on 17 schemes of WASA and Rs50 million for seven schemes of LDA urban development.

Reportedly, work has already started on eight schemes of WASA. These schemes include sewerage problems, water supply, street carpeting, PCC, construction and repair of issues regarding sewerage lines, water supply, carpeting of street, PCC, and restoration and construction of sewerage lines. The DC maintained that the district administration of Lahore is making sure of the completion of the development and planning projects of sustainable work in its supervision.
