PHP registers 189 cases against reckless drivers

PHP also provided service, help to road commuters and reunited 4 children with their respective parents

As per instructions of Additional Inspector General (AIG) PHP Zafar Iqbal Awan, Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) carried out timely action against criminals on highways. Over the last week, PHP registered 189 cases against rash drivers.

A total of 30 cases have been registered against fake and illegal number plates, 18 cases have been registered against persons in violation of the sound act and 67 drivers have been arrested on the installation of prohibited gas cylinders in their vehicles.

Moreover, PHP provided service and help to 2,960 road commuters and passengers besides removing 244 temporary encroachments. PHP teams reunited 4 children with their respective parents.

In addition to this, Punjab Inspector General of Police Shoaib Dastagir directed the AIG that PHP teams should conduct more effective patrolling on roads during the weather of fog.
