Resisting Robbery: Woman, daughter shot in Samanabad

LAHORE: A woman was shot and killed and her daughter injured while resisting a robbery attempt in Samanabad on Saturday.

Sub Inspector Ashiq said Azra, 45, a resident of Ghulshan-i-Ravi, and her daughter, Samina, were stopped by unidentified robbers near Choti Market and asked to surrender their belongings. On their refusal, he said, the robbers shot at the women and fled. Azra died on the spot.
