Lahore High Court summons education secretary
Justice Najafi remarks that secretary education must explain what measures he had taken so far
LAHORE:
Lahore High Court’s Justice Ali Baqar Najafi has summoned in person the secretary education by December 11 on different petitions filed by visually impaired persons over not being regularised them despite rendering their services for a long time on contracts.
Justice Najafi remarked that secretary education must appear before the court and explain what measures he had taken so far. Meanwhile, Justice Najafi extended the stay, by the aforementioned date, against the fear of being dismissed from their services.
The petitioner’s lawyer implored the court that the Punjab government made no effort to regularise the visually impaired persons despite they (petitioners) had been rendering their services on contract basis in Government Sunrise Institute for the Blind, Ravi Road.
