CM orders inquiry into flawed development work
The CMIT has been directed to investigate officers over flawed construction and advance payments to contractors
QUETTA:
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani has ordered the Chief Minister Inspection Team (CMIT) to commence an inquiry against the relevant local government officers over low quality and flawed development work in various districts.
The CMIT has been directed to investigate the officers concerned over flawed construction and advance payments to contractors and send the cases to the anti-corruption department.
The cases pertained to non-provision of pylons and advance payment, fudged billing in Kharan Town, use of low-quality material in construction of Truck Adda in Kharan, advance payment and flawed construction of a children’s park in Dalbandin and provision of low-quality streetlights in Dalbandin.
