Mystery: Constable gunned down

A police constable was gunned down by unknown assailants in the Taxila area on Friday night. The police sources said that Constable Naveed, a resident of Maqsoodabad, was returning home with his wife after attending a wedding. When he reached his house, he found the door open. When he asked his wife why she left it open, she said that she did not do so. As Naveed entered his house, two unknown gunmen were already waiting for him. They opened indiscriminate fire at Naveed and killed him on the spot. The deceased was taken to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital (THQ) Taxila , and was handed over to his family after autopsy. The deceased was laid to rest in Wah Cantt graveyard. The police registered a case.
