CM urges change in governance system

Kamal says no society can survive without social justice

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Aliyani has said that the social injustice and widening gap between the rich and poor are causing intolerance in the country and government is committed to creating an ideal society by eliminating corrupt practices in the system.

While addressing a seminar, conducted by Anti-Corruption Establishment and National Accountability Bureau, he said no society can survive without implementing social justice.

“Islam and our Holy Quran have given us clear codes of life, which are enough to build an ideal society based on justice and equality. We need to build our society according to those principles. We need ground changes in our society, the CM added.

He said without providing basic facilities to the general public, we can never establish an ideal society that is why developed countries ensure the implementation of law as their top priority.

“Corruption always prevails when we foster injustice and social imbalance,” he said.

He urged government officials to perform their duties with perfection and sincerity.

“Officers need to carry out their regular duties with perfection and sincerity, without it we cannot ensure good governance in Balochistan,” he noted.

He said that the government is committed to eradicating corruption from departments.

“People of Pakistan have huge expectations from our government and we need to expedite our efforts to fulfil their hopes,” he added.

CM Balochistan also announced more reforms to eliminate corrupt practices in the province.


“Without collective efforts the menace of corruption cannot be wiped out,” he said.

He said that the widening gap between rich and poor is creating unrest in the society. People with limited resources generally dislike the politicians and rich due to this social imbalance, we need to remove it and create a harmony in the society,” he said.

Chief Secretary Balochistan Capt (retd) Fazeel Asghar, DG NAB Farmanullah Khan, Additional IG Police Akram Naeem and Director Anti-Corruption Establishment Ayaz Ahmed Baloch were also present at the event.

New divisions and districts

Earlier, Kamal presided a meeting to review government’s deliberations on establishing new division and districts in Balochistan.

Government of Balochistan has been planning to divide District Quetta, Qilla Abdullah, and Pishin into more districts and divisions.

Senator Manzoor Ahmed Kakar, Provincial Ministers Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai, Meer Asad Baloch, Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Malik Naeem Bazai, Parliamentary Secretary Bushra Rind, Mubeen Khilji and MPA Asghar Khan Achakzai were present at the meeting.

The meeting agreed to establish new districts and division in the province following burgeoning population and ensure good governance.

CM Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has said, government would announced its final decision in better interest of masses after through brief and discussion on establishing new districts and division.

“Tough Balochistan has space for new district and divisions but the decision would be taken after taking into confidence all stakeholders,” Kamal added.
