ISLAMABAD:
Women should take up their fight against violence of all kinds, said Radio Pakistan Director General Samina Waqar.

Women should come out strong for their own rights and play an active role in shaping a healthy society, Waqar said at seminar aimed to bring end to violence against women organised by Rawalpindi Women University.

While urging women to realise the responsibility towards development and prosperity of the country she said: “We should also take a stand against the brutalities inflicted by the Indian army on women in occupied Kashmir.” RWU Vice-Chancellor Dr Aaliya Sohail Khan said women have to accept the responsibility with courage to raise their voice against violence. She said that women should break the criminal silence and move forward together for the development of the country.
